Super Easy Pot Roast

This is a throw together, not exactly made from scratch recipe, but is it ever tasty.  Mouth watering tasty.
Served with cream cheese mashed potatoes and dilled carrots, it is comfort food at its best.  And is doesn't heat up the house; especially if you put the crockpot on the porch!!

Super Easy Pot Roast
3 pound boneless beef roast
1 package ranch dressing mix
1 package Italian dressing mix
1 package brown gravy mix
1 cup grape juice
1 cup water
Put the roast in a slow cooker.  Pour all of the mixes, water and juice on top.  Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

I suppose I should do a make your own Monday on how to make all of those mixes from scratch.  Oh the guilt I feel when I take the easy road.  Ugh.

Kristen,

This is such an interesting combo of mixes, and set your guilt aside! Every once it just works to do it quick and easy. Saturday I used a cake mix and everybody loved the cake...look for it next week! I am going to put this outside on a hot day and my hubby will be so happy!

The first meal that Ryan and I made together was pot roast. We put on his crock pot in my dorm room and waited a few hours...and shared a wonderful meal. The first of many!

This sounds wonderful! I love using my slow cooker; it's about the only way I can make a tender pot roast!

Guilt??? You'd better not feel any. You're saving electricity both from not using the stove and not heating up the house from using the stove! Slow cookers are an incredible way to cook meat like this. I have my mom's pot roast recipe that we all love too. This is awesome.

With such a big family, you have to find ways to survive. This looks great though. I wouldn't call it a compromise.

We having Blue Cotton Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes tonight! LOL - Now, I if you'd just come by with the pot roast - I'd have it made! However, we had my pork tenderloin last night, so it's all left overs. I'm trying your recipe during the first bout of school sports week!

Nothing like walking in the door and having a tasty pot roast dinner all ready for you in the crock pot! I'm going to try this!

Nice simple recipe! Pot Roast and a hearty side dish is my favorite type of meal. When making pot roasts for dinner, I would recommend trying grass fed Black Angus beef. It is absolutely delicious and a healthier option. I work with La Cense Beef and because our beef is 100% grass fed it is higher in omega 3 acids and lower in calorie and fat as opposed to traditional grain fed beef. Try grass fed Black Angus Beef and you will be able to taste an even bigger difference!

I've stopped using my crock pot because the smell overwhelms my husband. I don't have a porch but I live in FL where it's unseasonably warm most of the year, perhaps I can set it out on my back patio! What a great idea!!
