The Sweet and Simple Bakes group were challenged to bake this recipe. The biggest challenge for me was to convert the measurements from ounces to cups. I have said and continue to say, math plays a huge part in cooking. Doubling, halving, changing recipes in any way is a great exercise in basic math skills. It's a fun way to get kids interested in learning about fractions, multiplication and division. I found a website that helped with conversions, but I still had to guestimate on exact measures. The cookies turned out well. They were soft and chewy and full of flavor. I didn't bake them as long as the recipe suggested...just about 9 minutes did the trick in my oven.

That sounds like a lovely combination. I love chewy cookies.
all the ingredients sound wonderful!!!
Me and Barbie think Math class is tough... But you are right, math skills serve us well
Ciao ! They were very good ! I think you'd be much happier with a scale ..but Christmas is over !! In Italy we have La Befana on the 6th of january maybe there is still hope !
your cookies turned out perfect
A very sweet picture of ur lovely cookies....
Good cookie recipe, wasn't it. I prefer a bit chewier cookie but these were a sweet treat.
I have been converting the measurements to cups as well. It's always interesting when you get a conversion from one of those websites of like 0.83 (up to 1 c. or down to 3/4 c.?), so I completely understand! Thanks for baking with us!
Yes, chewy sounds good - I think I overdid mine a tad.
Great looking cookies. Another winning recipe from the S&SB girls ;0)
I know what you mean about the conversions...I finally broke down and bought a scale. I didn't expect to love it so much though! Looks like you baked the cookies just right!
